The ENCOUNTER THE CROSS was started in World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with Pastor Larry Stockstill. Dorman Duggan at New Life Restoration in Hereford, Texas, and a group of people from that congregation were seeking how to do home groups. In this process we discovered the Encounters and started them as part of the base path to leadership. Part of the World Prayer Center congregation came to Hereford and trained us how to start them in our area. We did Encounters for five years in the Hereford area and saw many people saved and set free.

Then God called us to Lubbock in 2000, and we started the Encounters in the Lubbock area. God has blessed this effort as we are now doing five Encounters a year in the Lubbock area. Curtis Ward is doing four per year in the Sweetwater area. We have trained leaders in South Africa, Thailand and Transnistria as well, where people are being blessed. Our format is with men and women sitting in equal table groups, where discussion can happen after each talk. This is where most ministry takes place, as people share personal experiences of how the Great Exchange has exchange them. All of the talks are directed to who Jesus has paid for us to be through the Holy Spirit. Come join us to see what Jesus has for you!

Stay The Course

Hab 2:1  I will stand on my watch and set myself on the tower, and will watch to see what He will say to me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

Mat 4:17From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks within himself, so is he. He will grudgingly say, “Go ahead and eat all you want,” but in his heart he resents the fact that he has to pay for your meal.

Isaiah 55:8  “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.

Proverbs 1:23 Come back to your senses and be restored to reality. Don’t even think about refusing my rebuke! Don’t you know that I’m ready to pour out my spirit of wisdom upon you and bring to you the revelation of my words that will make your heart wise?

Gal 2:20  “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!
Mat 6:25-34 “This is why I tell you to never be worried about your life, for all that you need will be provided, such as food, water, clothing—everything your body needs. Isn’t there more to your life than a meal? Isn’t your body more than clothing? “Look at all the birds—do you think they worry about their existence? They don’t plant or reap or store up food, yet your heavenly Father provides them each with food. Aren’t you much more valuable to your Father than they? So, which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life?  “And why would you worry about your clothing? Look at all the beautiful flowers of the field. They don’t work or toil, and yet not even Solomon in all his splendor was robed in beauty more than one of these! So if God has clothed the meadow with hay, which is here for such a short time and then dried up and burned, won’t he provide for you the clothes you need—even though you live with such little faith?
“So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require? So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.

2Co 10:5-6 We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One. Since we are armed with such dynamic weaponry, we stand ready to punish any trace of rebellion, as soon as you choose complete obedience.

1Jn 2:20But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

Acts 1:8 But I promise you this—the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces —even to the remotest places on earth!”

Eph 6:11 Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser

Romans 8:37 Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!

Gal 5:16-17 As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self – life. For your self – life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit and hinder him from living free within you! And the Holy Spirit’s intense cravings hinder your old self – life from dominating you! So then, the two incompatible and conflicting forces within you are your self – life of the flesh and the new creation life of the Spirit
Rom 8:5 -9 Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.
In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to his direction, because it cannot! For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Motivational Gifts in a Nutshell

Quick facts about seven spiritual gifts

In his letter to the Roman Christians, the Apostle Paul challenges them to use their spiritual gifts: “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; or he that exhorteth on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness” (Romans 12:4–8).
The gifts mentioned here are seven motivational spiritual gifts. Each Christian receives one at the time of salvation, and it is the tool through which God works in him or her to see needs and to do something to meet them. These gifts equip believers to take a vital role in the Church.
Below are details about each of the seven motivational gifts, including Biblical examples of those who had the gifts, exhortations from Romans 12 about properly exercising the gifts, and the life principles that best complement the strengths and weaknesses of the gifts.
A person with the motivational gift of prophecy applies the Word of God to a situation so that sin is exposed and relationships are restored. He or she has a strong sense of right and wrong and speaks out against compromise and evil.

  • Biblical Example

The Apostle Peter played a significant role in the establishment of the early Church. Through his preaching, ministry, and writing, Peter encouraged men and women to believe in Christ, repent, and live according to the truth of God’s Word. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:9 particularly relates to the gift of prophecy: “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

It is especially important for a prophet to apply the principle of responsibility and maintain a clear conscience. This discipline equips the prophet to speak the truth
boldly with love.

A person with the motivational gift of serving is driven to demonstrate love by meeting practical needs. The server is available to see a project through to the end and enjoys doing physical work.

  • Biblical Example

Timothy had a great desire to serve the Church of God, and he ministered to the Apostle Paul in many ways. Paul said: “I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you . . . . I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s. But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel” (Philippians 2:19–22).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:10 particularly relates to the gift of serving: “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

A server needs to diligently apply the principle of authority. As he honors the directions and wishes of authority figures, the server is better equipped to maintain proper priorities in time management and is often protected from individuals who might take advantage of his eagerness to help meet physical needs.
A person with the motivational gift of teaching is passionate about discovering and validating truth. A teacher is particularly concerned with the accuracy of information, especially church doctrine, and is often gifted with research abilities.

  • Biblical Example

Luke’s work in writing Scriptural accounts was driven by a desire to verify and preserve the truth about both Jesus’ life and the formation of the Church so that the faith of believers would be strengthened. “It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, that thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed” (Luke 1:3–4).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:11 particularly relates to the gift of serving: “Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

A teacher should faithfully apply the principle of success and invest time in meditation on Scripture. The discipline of meditation helps the teacher stay focused on the truth of God’s Word instead of on the strength of his own mind.

A person with the motivational gift of exhortation wants to see believers grow to spiritual maturity. An exhorter is an encourager at heart and is often involved in the ministries of counseling, teaching, and discipleship.

  • Biblical Example

The epistles of the Apostle Paul demonstrate his love for the Church and his concern that believers all over the world grow to spiritual maturity. Paul addressed the questions and concerns of the early believers and challenged them to be faithful in their walks with God. “. . . Christ in you, the hope of glory: whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily” (Colossians 1:27–29).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:12 particularly relates to the gift of exhortation: “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

It is essential for an exhorter to understand the principle of God’s design and to accept God’s design in his own life. An understanding of this principle establishes a firm foundation for understanding and accepting the sovereignty of God, which is a key to the exhorter’s ministry.
A person with the motivational gift of giving wants to use financial resources wisely in order to give to meet the needs of others. A giver is usually good at finding the best buy, noticing overlooked needs, and maintaining a budget.

  • Biblical Example

When Jesus called Matthew to become a disciple, Matthew immediately gave up his lucrative job, that of being a tax collector for the Romans. “As Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him” (Matthew 9:9). Givers often avoid the limelight, so it is not surprising that even in the Gospel written by Matthew we find very little personal information about him.

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:13 particularly relates to the gift of giving: “Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

A giver must learn to wisely apply the principle of ownership. When a giver understands that all things belong to God and should be used to bring glory to Him, he is ready to share his resources as God directs him to give.
A person with the motivational gift of organizing is able to accomplish tasks and solve problems through analysis and delegation. An organizer often discerns the talents and abilities of others and knows how those individuals can best serve within a ministry or on a particular project.

  • Biblical Example

When the Apostle Paul and his fellow missionaries brought the Gospel to Philippi, a woman named Lydia heard them preach and responded with faith in God. As a business owner and persuasive woman of faith, Lydia used her resources to help meet Paul’s needs and she welcomed the missionaries into her home. “When she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us” (Acts 16:15).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:14 particularly relates to the gift of organization and the life principle of suffering: “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

A person with the gift of organization needs to understand the principle of suffering. Trusting God to use the tests and trials of life to develop his character and strengthen his faith helps an organizer respond to unexpected events with patience and wisdom and increases his sensitivity to the needs of others.
A person with the motivational gift of mercy is sensitive to the emotional and spiritual needs of others. A mercy-giver is drawn to people in need and seeks to demonstrate compassion, understanding, and love to them.

  • Biblical Example

The Apostle John had the gift of mercy. The Gospel of John and the epistles I, II, and III John share a unique perspective of Jesus’ ministry and include many insights into the love of God and His work in the heart of a believer. “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34–35).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:15 particularly relates to the gift of mercy: “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

It is important for a mercy-motivated person to apply the principle of moral freedom. An understanding of this principle will protect the mercy-giver from developing improper relationships or giving false impressions to those to whom they minister.

Discover Your Motivational Gifts

This questionnaire is based on the premise that the seven spiritual gifts mentioned in Romans 12:6-8 (Prophecy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Giving, Administration, Mercy) describe seven different temperament styles.  These strongly influence the way we relate to people and how we may find the greatest fulfillment in serving the Lord.

This analysis assumes that God gives to every Christian one of these motivational gifts as a major tendency.  He may also give one or two other motivational gifts as secondary preferences.  As we discover our strongest motivational gifts, we began to understand more fully our strengths and weaknesses, and sense our need to depend on other Christians to complement our ministry.  We will discover the areas of ministry where we may find our greatest fulfillment working for the Lord.

It is important to realize that no two individuals have an identical style of ministry.  This questionnaire is intended only as a means of helping you discover your own gifts.  Avoid applying the characteristics too rigidly.  This questionnaire should not be used alone, but only in the context of a group dealing with spiritual gifts where there is opportunity for discussion, group interaction, and affirmation.

  1. Read through the list of seventy statements and place a check beside the answer which is most appropriate for you:  “Usually true, Sometimes True, Seldom True, Rarely True.”  Do not ponder at length over any one question.  Be realistic as you can, answering not as you would like to be, but as you are at this stage of your life.
  2. After completing the seventy statements, transfer the numerical value of your answers to the Tabulation Chart found on the last page.  Then add the scores horizontally in each line and record the total at the right.
  3. The total will help reflect your spiritual gift.  Your primary motivational gift should be indicated by the largest number of points.  One or more other motivational gifts may also rank above the others.  These may be considered secondary motivations.
  4. Once you have completed the test and tallied your score, spend some time answering the questions for personal study or group discussion that follow.  These are designed to help you evaluate your present place of ministry in the body of Christ in the light of what you have discovered about your spiritual motivational gifts through the test.

Beside each statement, check the appropriate box which comes closest to your normal tendency.

After completing the final question, check back to make sure all questions are answered and then transfer your scores to the Tabulation Chart.

Tabulation Chart

In the boxes below, enter the numerical value of your responses to questions 1-70, (Usually True=5 points, Sometimes True=3 points, Seldom True=1 points, and Rarely True=0 points).  Then, add up the ten numbers horizontally and record the results in the total column at the right.

Be Healed

1Pe 2:24  who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Mat 8:16  When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,
Mat 8:17  that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

1 Corinthians 12:9  And to another, the same Spirit gives the gift of faith.
And to another, the same Spirit gives gifts of healing.

Mar 5:28  For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
Mar 5:29  Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
Mar 5:30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” Listen to Holy Spirit!
Mar 5:31  But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
Mar 5:32  And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
Mar 5:33  But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
Mar 5:34  And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Mar 9:23  Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Mar 9:24  Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Compassion= sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.
Galatians 5: 22–23 But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:  joy that overflows,  peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue,  faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit.  Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.
Mat 14:14  So when Jesus landed he had a huge crowd waiting for him. Seeing so many people, his heart was deeply moved with compassion toward them, so he healed all the sick who were in the crowd.
Mar 5:17  Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.
Mar 5:18  And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him.
Mar 5:19  However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”

Mat 8:5  Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,  Roman soldier!
Mat 8:6  saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”
Mat 8:7  And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
Mat 8:8  The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
Mat 8:9  For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” Seen Jesus was under authority!
Mat 8:10  When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!  Great faith produces action!

Mar 8:22  Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him.  Can’t do this by ourselves, he had help!
Mar 8:23  So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.
Mar 8:24  And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”
Mar 8:25  Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.      Sometimes we give up early! Because we trust in ourselves!

Mark 16:15 And he said to them, “As you go into all the world, preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel to the entire human race! Whoever believes the good news and is baptized will be saved, and whoever does not believe the good news will be condemned. And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.”

Ephesians 3:14 So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth. Gen 17:5  No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.

Pro_30:11  There is a generation that curses its father, And does not bless its mother.
2Sa 17:10  And even he who is valiant, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will melt completely. For all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and those who are with him are valiant men.
2Co 10:12  For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise

Lev_16:32  And the priest, who is anointed and consecrated to minister as priest in his father’s place, shall make atonement, and put on the linen clothes, the holy garments; HOLY SPIRIT CLOTHES US
Ephesians 3:14So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth. And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power.
Gen 2:24  Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh
Eph 5:23  For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body Eph 5:26  that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27  that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28  So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
Pro 1:8  My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not forsake the law of your mother

Psa 25:1  A Psalm of David. To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
Psa 25:2  O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me.
Psa 25:3  Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.
Psa 25:4  Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.
Psa 25:5  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

Pro 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
1 John 2:27 But the wonderful anointing you have received from God is so much greater than their deception and now lives in you. There’s no need for anyone to keep teaching you. His anointing teaches you all that you need to know, for it will lead you into truth, not a counterfeit. So just as the anointing has taught you, remain in him.

FATHERS BLESSING Gen 49:1  And Jacob called his sons and said, “Gather together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days:

DID YOU GET YOUR BLESSING?  A Father’s Blessing

We often hear about God’s love for us, and it is described as how a father loves a child.
Maybe for some of you it’s hard to grasp how a Heavenly Father can love you unconditionally when you never experienced that from an Earthly Father.  Maybe your earthly father didn’t treat you or care for you the way a father should.  Perhaps the image that comes to your mind when you hear the word “father” isn’t a pleasant one.  Maybe you have experienced abusive behavior, neglect, harsh words, unmet needs, or other wounds from your father, or from a husband, or some other man you have been in relationship with.
A father’s relationship with his daughter is important because he’s the first man she’ll get to know in life. In other words, he’s the standard for what she’ll expect of a man and lifelong partner.
How many men have heard their father tell them “I love you” or “I’m proud of you”?  When you think about your own father, what do you picture? What did he teach you?
I have good news … through the power of Holy Spirit, the Lord can go back and heal any of those wounds with His perfect love!
Please sit back, listen, and allow me to do two things … first allow me to say on behalf of all those men who may have ever hurt you, in whatever way … I’m sorry, forgive me.
And second, please allow me to speak this blessing over each of you …
A father’s role is to protect, to provide, to bless, and to establish his children’s identity. Maybe your father did that for you; maybe he didn’t.
Maybe he died before you were ready, or left you for some other reason such as divorce.
Perhaps he abandoned you …or abused you: sexually, …physically, …verbally, … or emotionally… perhaps you were molested by your father or someone he allowed to hurt you.
Perhaps he had nothing to do with you, was distant, removed and showed no interest in you.
Maybe he smothered you with so much attention that you haven’t been able to break away to be your own person…
Or he terrified you with his anger and rage.

Perhaps he blamed you for all his troubles, so that you suffered for things other people did to him …
Perhaps he blamed you for things that were not your fault at all.
Maybe he worked too much or played too hard and never spent time with you… missed your ball games or your school programs.
Maybe he spent too much time with you forcing to become the athlete or student you never wanted to be, reliving his life through you.

Perhaps he left you in the care of hurtful, dangerous people… Maybe he didn’t see or believe you when you went to him for help…
Perhaps he was just too preoccupied with himself to see anything you wanted or needed then. I really don’t know….

If you are willing to hear the words of a broken father speaking to you…. please close your eyes for a few minutes.

I realize I am not your father, but please allow me to stand in for him, and in the place of your father who may, or may not have said any of these things… please allow yourself to hear these words…
I ask your Heavenly Father to richly bless you in all the places I failed to bless you.

I ask the Lord Jesus Christ, by the power of His Cross and Blood, to set you free now from any harsh, hurtful, or cruel words that I said… especially the ones you keep remembering.

I ask the Lord to set you free from all the hurts and injuries you sustained from me or from others in whose care I placed you … both physical hurts as well as emotional hurts.

I ask the Holy Spirit to set you free from: rejection, heartache, disappointments, dreads, grief, fear or rage you cannot resolve.

And I as you to forgive me  for any other struggles I may have caused you… May you be healed from being ignored by me…or overindulged by me.

If I ever made you feel worthless, less than adequate, or not good enough… I am deeply sorry and ask you to please forgive me.

May the Lord set you free from working so hard to please me when nothing ever would.  May the Lord set you free from trying to get from me what I never had to give you … Please forgive me.
May the Lord set you free from blaming me for failing you… not because I need that, but so you can be free to grow … to receive … and to achieve … To be creative in ways you have not yet imagined… May the Lord give you all the things I was unable or unwilling to give you…
May the Lord guide you in ways I never could and grant you peace.

May the Lord free you from the effects of my addictions, my anxieties and my anger… especially if any of those have carried over to you.
May the Lord free you from feeling that you have to always be perfect or that you have to be what I expected you to be.  I pray that God will help you to see that the hurt and pain I caused you came from my own childhood. Hurt people hurt people.  It limited me, and I am so sorry if it has limited you.

I pray that God will remove from you any belief that you were not wanted…or loved.
I pray that you have no doubt that you are the gender you are supposed to be.

I pray that the Lord will release you from any unhealthy bond that you may have with me… I want you to keep all of the good that came from me, and give the garbage to God.
I’m so sorry.    I pray you are able to find it in your heart to forgive me.
Let me decree and declare this over you …

  • You are beautiful!
  • You are unique!
  • You are kind!
  • You are worthy of love!
  • You are powerful and strong!
  • You are awesome!
  • You are smart and funny!
  • You are kind!
  • You are forgiven! You are forgiven!
  • You are a world changer!
  • You are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ!
  • You are a princess / prince of the Most High King!
  • You are the head and not the tail!
  • You are radically loved!
  • You are a Mighty Woman / Man of God!
  • You, yes you, are worth dying for!

My precious daughter / son… I love you. I am so proud of you. I am so glad you were born. Take flight … soar into the heights of God’s destiny for you… be blessed, In Jesus name!

Gen 2:9  And out of the ground Jehovah God caused to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food. The tree of life also was in the middle of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 3:22  And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man has become as one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.

Exodus 20:19  And they said to Moses, You speak with us, and we will hear. But let not God speak with us, lest we die.

John 14:16-20 And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a friend just like me—and he will never leave you. The world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or know him. But you will know him intimately, because he will make his home in you and will live inside you.  “I promise that I will never leave you helpless or abandon you as orphans—I will come back to you! Soon I will leave this world and they will see me no longer, but you will see me, because I will live again, and you will come alive too. So when that day comes, you will know that I am living in the Father and that you are one with me, for I will be living in you.

John 14:26 But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like me who sets you free, he will teach you all things in my name. And he will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you
John 16:7But here’s the truth: It’s to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away the Divine Encourager will not be released to you. But after I depart, I will send him to you

Act 1:1-9 Just before he ascended into heaven, he left instructions for the apostles he had chosen by the Holy Spirit. After the sufferings of his cross, Jesus appeared alive many times to these same apostles over a forty-day period. Jesus proved to them with many convincing signs that he had been resurrected.
During these encounters, he taught them the truths of God’s kingdom realm and shared meals with them.

Jesus instructed them, “Don’t leave Jerusalem, but wait here until you receive the gift I told you about, the gift the Father has promised. For John baptized you in water, but in a few days from now you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit!” Every time they were gathered together, they asked Jesus, “Lord, is it the time now for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?” He answered, “The Father is the one who sets the fixed dates and the times of their fulfillment. You are not permitted to know the timing of all that he has prepared by his own authority. But I promise you this—the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces —even to the remotest places on earth. Right after he spoke those words, the disciples saw Jesus lifted into the sky and disappear into a cloud!

Act 2:1-4 On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the disciples were gathered in one place. Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear! Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them. They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned .

John 14:12  Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father.

1Co 12:1For example: The Spirit gives to one the gift of the word of wisdom.
To another, the same Spirit gives the gift of the word of revelation knowledge.
And to another, the same Spirit gives the gift of faith.
And to another, the same Spirit gives gifts of healing.
And to another the power to work miracles.
And to another the gift of prophecy.
And to another the gift to discern what the Spirit is speaking.
And to another the gift of speaking different kinds of tongues.
And to another the gift of interpretation of tongues.
Remember, it is the same Holy Spirit who distributes, activates, and operates these different gifts as he chooses for each believer.

Rom_14:14-18 I know and am convinced by personal revelation from the Lord Jesus that there is nothing wrong with eating any food. But to the one who considers it to be unclean, it is unacceptable. If your brother or sister is offended because you insist on eating what you want, it is no longer love that rules your conduct. Why would you wound someone for whom the Messiah gave his life, just so you can eat what you want? So don’t give people the opportunity to slander what you know to be good. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of rules about food and drink, but is in the realm of the Holy Spirit, filled with righteousness, peace, and joy. Serving the Anointed One by walking in these kingdom realities pleases God and earns the respect of other

Heb 4:9-10  There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.   For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

Doesn’t really matter it is all about being filled with Him

Act 2:4  And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:37-41 When they heard this they were crushed and realized what they had done to Jesus. Deeply moved, they said to Peter and the other apostles, “What do we need to do, brothers?”
Peter replied, “Repent and return to God, and each one of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus, the Anointed One, to have your sins removed. Then you may take hold of the gift of the Holy Spirit. For God’s promise of the Holy Spirit is for you and your families, for those yet to be born and for everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
Peter preached to them and warned them with these words: “Be rescued from the wayward and perverse culture of this world!”
Those who believed the word that day numbered three thousand. They were all baptized and added to the church.

What If I Believed

What If I Believed

John 6:28-29 They replied, “So what should we do if we want to do God’s work?”
Jesus answered, “The work you can do for God starts with believing in the One he has sent.”

James 2:19 You can believe all you want that there is one true God, that’s wonderful! But even the demons know this and tremble with fear before him, yet they’re unchanged—they remain demons.
John 14:12“I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!

Mat 13:9  He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
John 10:27 My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me.
John 10:20 Many of them said, “This man is a demon-possessed lunatic! Why would anyone listen to a word he says?” MORE THAN ONE VOICE
1 John 4:1 Delightfully loved friends, don’t trust every spirit, but carefully examine what they say to determine if they are of God, because many false prophets have mingled into the world.

James 2:18 But someone might object and say, “One person has faith and another person has works.” Go ahead then and prove to me that you have faith without works and I will show you faith by my works as proof that I believe
Jas 1:22  But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Pro 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
Pro 3:6  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths

2 Corinthians 3:4-6  We carry this confidence in our hearts because of our union with Christ before God. Yet we don’t see ourselves as capable enough to do anything in our own strength, for our true competence flows from God’s empowering presence. He alone makes us adequate ministers who are focused on an entirely new covenant. Our ministry is not based on the letter of the law but through the power of the Spirit. The letter of the law kills, but the Spirit pours out life.
Proverbs 24:16 For the lovers of God may suffer adversity and stumble seven times, but they will continue to rise over and over again. But the unrighteous are brought down by just one calamity and will never be able to rise again.
Philippians 3:13-14 I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.
Luke 9:23-24 Jesus said to all of his followers, “If you truly desire to be my disciple, you must disown your life completely, embrace my ‘cross’ as your own, and surrender to my ways. For if you choose self-sacrifice, giving up your lives for my glory, you will embark on a discovery of more and more of true life. But if you choose to keep your lives for yourselves, you will lose what you try to keep.
Isa 55:12  “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Matthew 19: 29 For anyone who has left behind their home and property, leaving family—brothers or sisters, mothers or fathers, or children—for my sake, they will be repaid a hundred times over and will inherit eternal life.

Seeds of Doubt

Seeds of Doubt

Deu 28:66  Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life.
DOUBT=to separate thoroughly, that is,  to withdraw from, or  oppose; figuratively to discriminate , hesitate: – contend, discern, doubt, judge, be partial, stagger, waver.

Jesus calls disciples to Feed the Five Thousand
Mar 6:37  But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” “Are you sure?” they replied. “You really want us to go buy them supper? It would cost a small fortune to feed all these thousands of hungry people.”“How many loaves of bread do you have?” he asked. “Go and see.” After they had looked around, they came back and said, “Five—plus a couple of fish

Pro 29:18  Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he who keeps the law, he is blessed.

Mar 11:23  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Mar 11:24  Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them

Mat 6:25  Therefore I say to you, Do not be anxious for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Mat 6:26  Behold the birds of the air; for they sow not, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them; are you not much better than they are?
Mat 6:27  Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature?
Mat 6:28  And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, nor do they spin,
Mat 6:29  but I say to you that even Solomon in his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Mat 6:30  Therefore if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much rather clothe you, little-faiths?
Mat 6:31  Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32  For the nations seek after all these things. For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
Mat 6:34  Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow; for tomorrow shall be anxious for its own things. Sufficient to the day is the evil of it.  Anxious 5X

1Jn 4:18  There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He who fears has not been perfected in love.

Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Mar 6:7  And He called the Twelve and began to send them out by two and two. And He gave them authority over unclean spirits,
Mar 6:8  and commanded them that they take nothing in the way, except only a staff; no bag, no bread, no copper in the belt,
Mar 6:9  but tying on sandals, and not to put on two tunics.
Mar 6:10  And He said to them, Wherever you enter into a house, abide there until you depart from that place.
Mar 6:11  And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Truly I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
Mar 6:12  And they went out and proclaimed that men should repent.
Mar 6:13  And they cast out many demons, and anointed many who were sick with oil, and healed them.

Philippians 3:13  My brothers, I do not count myself to have taken possession, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind and reaching forward to the things before,
Philippians 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Jeremiah 17:5  Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD

Rev 3:8  “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, you have kept My word, and you have not denied My name.

Isa 6:8  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

Rom 10:10  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things whatsoever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
Have you heard good preaching? Don’t try to preach like someone else!

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
