The ENCOUNTER THE CROSS was started in World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with Pastor Larry Stockstill. Dorman Duggan at New Life Restoration in Hereford, Texas, and a group of people from that congregation were seeking how to do home groups. In this process we discovered the Encounters and started them as part of the base path to leadership. Part of the World Prayer Center congregation came to Hereford and trained us how to start them in our area. We did Encounters for five years in the Hereford area and saw many people saved and set free.

Then God called us to Lubbock in 2000, and we started the Encounters in the Lubbock area. God has blessed this effort as we are now doing five Encounters a year in the Lubbock area. Curtis Ward is doing four per year in the Sweetwater area. We have trained leaders in South Africa, Thailand and Transnistria as well, where people are being blessed. Our format is with men and women sitting in equal table groups, where discussion can happen after each talk. This is where most ministry takes place, as people share personal experiences of how the Great Exchange has exchange them. All of the talks are directed to who Jesus has paid for us to be through the Holy Spirit. Come join us to see what Jesus has for you!

Mat 14:15  When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.”
Mat 14:16  But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”…………. US FEED THEM?   TAKING THEM OUT OF COMFORT ZONE!
Mat 14:17  And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”
Mat 14:18  He said, “Bring them here to Me.”
Mat 14:19  Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes.
Mat 14:22  As soon as the people were fed, Jesus told his disciples to get into their boat and to go to the other side of the lake while he stayed behind to dismiss the people.
Mat 14:23  After the crowds dispersed, Jesus went up into the hills to pray. And as night fell he was there praying alone with God.
Mat 14:24  But the disciples, who were now in the middle of the lake, ran into trouble, for their boat was tossed about by the high winds and heavy seas.
Mat 14:25  At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came to them, walking on the waves!
Mat 14:26  When the disciples saw him walking on top of the water, they were terrified and screamed, “A ghost!”

Mat 14:30  But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out.

Pro 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Gal 2:20  “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! John 11:42-44 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” HOW DID HE GET OUT?

Mat 25:39  Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
Mat 25:40  And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Mat 5:14  “Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop?
Mat 5:15  And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light.
Mat 5:16  So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”

2Co 10:12  For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

Philippians 4:12  (12-13) I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. Judges 6:12-13And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to him, and said to him, Jehovah with you, mighty warrior. And Gideon said to Him, O, my Lord, if Jehovah is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not Jehovah bring us up from Egypt? But now Jehovah has forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Isa 50:7  “For the Lord GOD will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed

Gal 1:10  I’m obviously not trying to flatter you or water down my message to be popular with men, but my supreme passion is to please God. For if all I attempt to do is please people, I would not be the true servant of the Messiah.

Gal 5:8  The One who enfolded you into his grace is not behind this false teaching that you’ve embraced. Not at all!

Heb 13:6  So we can say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!”

Rom 6:17  And God is pleased with you, for in the past you were servants of sin, but now your obedience is heart deep, and your life is being molded by truth through the teaching you are devoted to.

1Sa 3:9And Eli said to Samuel, Go, lie down; and it shall be, if calls you, you shall say, Speak, Jehovah, for Your servant hears. And Samuel went to lie down in his place.

2Co 4:3  Even if our gospel message is veiled, it is only veiled to those who are perishing,
2Co 4:4  for their minds have been blinded by the god of this age, leaving them in unbelief. Their blindness keeps them from seeing the dayspring light of the wonderful news of the glory of Jesus Christ, who is the divine image of God

2Ti 3:1-7  But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!  For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Joh 18:36  Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

1Co 9:19-22  For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;  and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law;   to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law;   to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

Psa 49:14  A shepherd called “Death” herds them, leading them like mindless sheep straight to hell. Yet at daybreak you will find the righteous ruling in their place. Every trace of them will be gone forever, with all their “glory” lost in the darkness of their doom.
Mat 25:41  “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels

Luk 16:23-25  “The day came that the rich man also died. In hell he looked up from his torment and saw Abraham in the distance, and Lazarus the beggar was standing beside him in the glory. So the rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham! Father Abraham! Have mercy on me. Send Lazarus to dip his finger in water and come to cool my tongue, for I am in agony in these flames of fire!’   “But Abraham responded, ‘My friend, don’t you remember? While you were alive, you had all you desired, surrounded in luxury, while Lazarus had nothing. Now Lazarus is in the comforts of paradise and you are in agony

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.       Okra is wrong!

Eph 1:3-5  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,   just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,  having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will!

Mar 16:17  And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

Joh 6:29  Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Darkness blankets the earth, and thick gloom covers the nations, but God arises upon you and the brightness of his glory appears over you! Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise-glory of your new day.
Mat 5:14  “Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop?

vs.4   Lift up your eyes higher! Look all around you and believe, for your sons are returning from far away and your daughters are being tenderly carried home.
Watch as they all gather together, eager to come back to you!

Luk 11: 9-10 So it is with your prayers. Ask and you’ll receive. Seek and you’ll discover. Knock on heaven’s door, and it will one day open for you. Every persistent person will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he needs. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.

vs.5 “Then you will understand and be radiant.  Your heart will be thrilled and swell with joy.   The fullness of the sea will flow to you and the wealth of the nations will be transferred to you! Psa 115:17  (17-18) Dead people cannot praise the Lord, but we can! Those who sink to the silence of the grave can no longer give glory to God, but we can! So let’s praise the Lord! Let’s begin now and let it go on until eternity is done. Hallelujah, and praise the Lord! All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered to you, and the rams of Nebaioth will be yours,  as acceptable sacrifices on my altar, and I will adorn with more glory my glorious temple. “Who are these who soar like clouds  flying like doves into their portals?
Indeed, the distant islands eagerly look for me,  with their large ships leading the way.  They are bringing Zion’s children from afar. They come with offerings of silver and gold  to honor the name of Yahweh, your God, the Holy One of Israel,  for he has glorified you! Zion’s Restoration 10 “Foreigners will rebuild your walls and their kings will serve you.  Even though I punished you in my anger,
I will restore you in my gracious favor  and show you my tender compassion.

John 4:23  (23-24) From here on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with the right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.”

4.  Vs11 Your gateways will always remain wide open around the clock to let in the procession of kings  bringing their constant stream of the riches of the nations. New Legacy

Hab 2:1  I will stand on my watch and set myself on the tower, and will watch to see what He will say to me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

Mat 4:17From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks within himself, so is he. He will grudgingly say, “Go ahead and eat all you want,” but in his heart he resents the fact that he has to pay for your meal.

Isaiah 55:8  “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.

Proverbs 1:23 Come back to your senses and be restored to reality. Don’t even think about refusing my rebuke! Don’t you know that I’m ready to pour out my spirit of wisdom upon you and bring to you the revelation of my words that will make your heart wise?

Gal 2:20  “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!
Mat 6:25-34 “This is why I tell you to never be worried about your life, for all that you need will be provided, such as food, water, clothing—everything your body needs. Isn’t there more to your life than a meal? Isn’t your body more than clothing? “Look at all the birds—do you think they worry about their existence? They don’t plant or reap or store up food, yet your heavenly Father provides them each with food. Aren’t you much more valuable to your Father than they? So, which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life?  “And why would you worry about your clothing? Look at all the beautiful flowers of the field. They don’t work or toil, and yet not even Solomon in all his splendor was robed in beauty more than one of these! So if God has clothed the meadow with hay, which is here for such a short time and then dried up and burned, won’t he provide for you the clothes you need—even though you live with such little faith?
“So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require? So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.

2Co 10:5-6 We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One. Since we are armed with such dynamic weaponry, we stand ready to punish any trace of rebellion, as soon as you choose complete obedience.

1Jn 2:20But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

Acts 1:8 But I promise you this—the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces —even to the remotest places on earth!”

Eph 6:11 Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser

Romans 8:37 Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!

Gal 5:16-17 As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self – life. For your self – life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit and hinder him from living free within you! And the Holy Spirit’s intense cravings hinder your old self – life from dominating you! So then, the two incompatible and conflicting forces within you are your self – life of the flesh and the new creation life of the Spirit
Rom 8:5 -9 Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.
In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to his direction, because it cannot! For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Motivational Gifts in a Nutshell

Quick facts about seven spiritual gifts

In his letter to the Roman Christians, the Apostle Paul challenges them to use their spiritual gifts: “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; or he that exhorteth on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness” (Romans 12:4–8).
The gifts mentioned here are seven motivational spiritual gifts. Each Christian receives one at the time of salvation, and it is the tool through which God works in him or her to see needs and to do something to meet them. These gifts equip believers to take a vital role in the Church.
Below are details about each of the seven motivational gifts, including Biblical examples of those who had the gifts, exhortations from Romans 12 about properly exercising the gifts, and the life principles that best complement the strengths and weaknesses of the gifts.
A person with the motivational gift of prophecy applies the Word of God to a situation so that sin is exposed and relationships are restored. He or she has a strong sense of right and wrong and speaks out against compromise and evil.

  • Biblical Example

The Apostle Peter played a significant role in the establishment of the early Church. Through his preaching, ministry, and writing, Peter encouraged men and women to believe in Christ, repent, and live according to the truth of God’s Word. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:9 particularly relates to the gift of prophecy: “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

It is especially important for a prophet to apply the principle of responsibility and maintain a clear conscience. This discipline equips the prophet to speak the truth
boldly with love.

A person with the motivational gift of serving is driven to demonstrate love by meeting practical needs. The server is available to see a project through to the end and enjoys doing physical work.

  • Biblical Example

Timothy had a great desire to serve the Church of God, and he ministered to the Apostle Paul in many ways. Paul said: “I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you . . . . I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s. But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel” (Philippians 2:19–22).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:10 particularly relates to the gift of serving: “Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

A server needs to diligently apply the principle of authority. As he honors the directions and wishes of authority figures, the server is better equipped to maintain proper priorities in time management and is often protected from individuals who might take advantage of his eagerness to help meet physical needs.
A person with the motivational gift of teaching is passionate about discovering and validating truth. A teacher is particularly concerned with the accuracy of information, especially church doctrine, and is often gifted with research abilities.

  • Biblical Example

Luke’s work in writing Scriptural accounts was driven by a desire to verify and preserve the truth about both Jesus’ life and the formation of the Church so that the faith of believers would be strengthened. “It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, that thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed” (Luke 1:3–4).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:11 particularly relates to the gift of serving: “Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

A teacher should faithfully apply the principle of success and invest time in meditation on Scripture. The discipline of meditation helps the teacher stay focused on the truth of God’s Word instead of on the strength of his own mind.

A person with the motivational gift of exhortation wants to see believers grow to spiritual maturity. An exhorter is an encourager at heart and is often involved in the ministries of counseling, teaching, and discipleship.

  • Biblical Example

The epistles of the Apostle Paul demonstrate his love for the Church and his concern that believers all over the world grow to spiritual maturity. Paul addressed the questions and concerns of the early believers and challenged them to be faithful in their walks with God. “. . . Christ in you, the hope of glory: whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily” (Colossians 1:27–29).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:12 particularly relates to the gift of exhortation: “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

It is essential for an exhorter to understand the principle of God’s design and to accept God’s design in his own life. An understanding of this principle establishes a firm foundation for understanding and accepting the sovereignty of God, which is a key to the exhorter’s ministry.
A person with the motivational gift of giving wants to use financial resources wisely in order to give to meet the needs of others. A giver is usually good at finding the best buy, noticing overlooked needs, and maintaining a budget.

  • Biblical Example

When Jesus called Matthew to become a disciple, Matthew immediately gave up his lucrative job, that of being a tax collector for the Romans. “As Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him” (Matthew 9:9). Givers often avoid the limelight, so it is not surprising that even in the Gospel written by Matthew we find very little personal information about him.

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:13 particularly relates to the gift of giving: “Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

A giver must learn to wisely apply the principle of ownership. When a giver understands that all things belong to God and should be used to bring glory to Him, he is ready to share his resources as God directs him to give.
A person with the motivational gift of organizing is able to accomplish tasks and solve problems through analysis and delegation. An organizer often discerns the talents and abilities of others and knows how those individuals can best serve within a ministry or on a particular project.

  • Biblical Example

When the Apostle Paul and his fellow missionaries brought the Gospel to Philippi, a woman named Lydia heard them preach and responded with faith in God. As a business owner and persuasive woman of faith, Lydia used her resources to help meet Paul’s needs and she welcomed the missionaries into her home. “When she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us” (Acts 16:15).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:14 particularly relates to the gift of organization and the life principle of suffering: “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

A person with the gift of organization needs to understand the principle of suffering. Trusting God to use the tests and trials of life to develop his character and strengthen his faith helps an organizer respond to unexpected events with patience and wisdom and increases his sensitivity to the needs of others.
A person with the motivational gift of mercy is sensitive to the emotional and spiritual needs of others. A mercy-giver is drawn to people in need and seeks to demonstrate compassion, understanding, and love to them.

  • Biblical Example

The Apostle John had the gift of mercy. The Gospel of John and the epistles I, II, and III John share a unique perspective of Jesus’ ministry and include many insights into the love of God and His work in the heart of a believer. “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34–35).

  • Guidelines in Romans 12

The exhortation of Romans 12:15 particularly relates to the gift of mercy: “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep”(ESV).

  • Life Principle to Apply

It is important for a mercy-motivated person to apply the principle of moral freedom. An understanding of this principle will protect the mercy-giver from developing improper relationships or giving false impressions to those to whom they minister.

Discover Your Motivational Gifts

This questionnaire is based on the premise that the seven spiritual gifts mentioned in Romans 12:6-8 (Prophecy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Giving, Administration, Mercy) describe seven different temperament styles.  These strongly influence the way we relate to people and how we may find the greatest fulfillment in serving the Lord.

This analysis assumes that God gives to every Christian one of these motivational gifts as a major tendency.  He may also give one or two other motivational gifts as secondary preferences.  As we discover our strongest motivational gifts, we began to understand more fully our strengths and weaknesses, and sense our need to depend on other Christians to complement our ministry.  We will discover the areas of ministry where we may find our greatest fulfillment working for the Lord.

It is important to realize that no two individuals have an identical style of ministry.  This questionnaire is intended only as a means of helping you discover your own gifts.  Avoid applying the characteristics too rigidly.  This questionnaire should not be used alone, but only in the context of a group dealing with spiritual gifts where there is opportunity for discussion, group interaction, and affirmation.

  1. Read through the list of seventy statements and place a check beside the answer which is most appropriate for you:  “Usually true, Sometimes True, Seldom True, Rarely True.”  Do not ponder at length over any one question.  Be realistic as you can, answering not as you would like to be, but as you are at this stage of your life.
  2. After completing the seventy statements, transfer the numerical value of your answers to the Tabulation Chart found on the last page.  Then add the scores horizontally in each line and record the total at the right.
  3. The total will help reflect your spiritual gift.  Your primary motivational gift should be indicated by the largest number of points.  One or more other motivational gifts may also rank above the others.  These may be considered secondary motivations.
  4. Once you have completed the test and tallied your score, spend some time answering the questions for personal study or group discussion that follow.  These are designed to help you evaluate your present place of ministry in the body of Christ in the light of what you have discovered about your spiritual motivational gifts through the test.

Beside each statement, check the appropriate box which comes closest to your normal tendency.

After completing the final question, check back to make sure all questions are answered and then transfer your scores to the Tabulation Chart.

Tabulation Chart

In the boxes below, enter the numerical value of your responses to questions 1-70, (Usually True=5 points, Sometimes True=3 points, Seldom True=1 points, and Rarely True=0 points).  Then, add up the ten numbers horizontally and record the results in the total column at the right.

Be Healed

Be Healed

Isa 53:5  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

1Pe 2:24  who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Mat 8:16  When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,
Mat 8:17  that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

1 Corinthians 12:9  And to another, the same Spirit gives the gift of faith.
And to another, the same Spirit gives gifts of healing.

Mar 5:28  For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
Mar 5:29  Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
Mar 5:30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” Listen to Holy Spirit!
Mar 5:31  But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
Mar 5:32  And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
Mar 5:33  But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
Mar 5:34  And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Mar 9:23  Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Mar 9:24  Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Jas 5:14  Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
Elder= older; a senior; Christian “presbyter”: – elder , old.
Jas 5:15  And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Anointing= grease); fat, that is, (figuratively) sumptuous= extremely costly, rich, luxurious, or magnificent;

Compassion= sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.
Galatians 5: 22–23 But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:  joy that overflows,  peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue,  faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit.  Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.
Mat 14:14  So when Jesus landed he had a huge crowd waiting for him. Seeing so many people, his heart was deeply moved with compassion toward them, so he healed all the sick who were in the crowd.
Mar 5:17  Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.
Mar 5:18  And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him.
Mar 5:19  However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”

Mat 8:5  Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,  Roman soldier!
Mat 8:6  saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”
Mat 8:7  And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
Mat 8:8  The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
Mat 8:9  For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” Seen Jesus was under authority!
Mat 8:10  When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!  Great faith produces action!

Mar 8:22  Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him.  Can’t do this by ourselves, he had help!
Mar 8:23  So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.
Mar 8:24  And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”
Mar 8:25  Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.      Sometimes we give up early! Because we trust in ourselves!

Mark 16:15 And he said to them, “As you go into all the world, preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel to the entire human race! Whoever believes the good news and is baptized will be saved, and whoever does not believe the good news will be condemned. And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.”

Ephesians 6:12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms, for they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.

Ezekiel 28:13  You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.

Mar 9:21  So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.
Mar 9:22  And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
